Fund Raising Projects

The Tellico Village Lions Club holds a variety of Fundraising events each year to allow for contributions to our designated charities and service organizations.

Flyer Delivery Program

One of our club’s major fund raisers is the distribution of flyers to the residents of Tellico Village. These flyers provide information on the products/services of businesses, local non profit organizations, and churches in and around Tellico Village. Each month we distribute 4,100 flyers for each of our 6-10 clients, totaling an average monthly distribution of between 24,600- 41,000 flyers. Twenty six Lions are involved in this massive distribution effort, beginning with the collating of the flyers into 26 routes covering all of the Village neighborhoods. A automated collating machine was purchased in 2017 to simplify and speed up the collation process. Click on the Lions Logo below to see pictures of the Lions working on this program:

Our PLACE Fund Raising Project

In 2020 the Tellico Village Lions Club were involved in their largest ever fund raising project. During a 4 month campaign the club raised over $100,000 for the construction of Our PLACE. The facility, when completed, will provide programs of therapeutic activities for senior residents suffering from Alzheimer’s or Dementia. The fundraising was accomplished through Dollar for Dollar Match Campaign within the club and the Tellico Village Community. In 2021 the club partnered with the Loudon Lions Club and secured a $100,000 matching grant for Our PLACE from the Lions Clubs International Foundation.
