Our Motto – We Serve

Lions Clubs International (LCI) is the world’s largest service club. We are one of 48,000 clubs, part of 1.4 million members, and a global effort to provide vision protection and correction services, diabetes awareness events, youth service programs, food for the less fortunate, and disaster relief.

Our members are men and women, who volunteer their time and labor, operating local programs, that improve the health and well being of our community.  We Serve by:

  • Digitally scanning the eyes of over 3,000 young children every year, identifying potential vision issues, before the issues can become permanent.
  • Raising adult health and diabetes awareness at local health fairs, assist with providing eye exams and glasses for qualified applicants, and recycling eyeglass materials.
  • Participating in community service projects, such as creating food packages, delivering flyers to each resident, traffic and parking control at various events, or assistance in fund raising for charities.

AND VISIT US AT A CLUB MEETING !

Our club conducts multiple fundraising events, resulting in donations to national, state, and local charities or service agencies. We support Lions Clubs International focus of combating vision loss and assisting the visually impaired. At the 1925 national convention, Hellen Keller challenged the attendees: “Will you constitute yourselves into Knights of the Blind in a crusade against darkness?”, and Lions continue to  take the crusade to all corners of the globe.  Learn more about LCI at http://www.lionsclubs.org or click on the “Our Club and Mission “ page.

We meet twice a month, specified in the Events section at the right.

A small commitment of your time, combined with your fellow Lions efforts, results in a big difference in the lives of many people.  Contact a member on the Membership List page to attend one of our meetings.
