This event is the cornerstone of our fundraising efforts, helping the Lions continue and expand our commitment to preserving and improving vision throughout our community.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, the club has steadily broadened its vision screening program, reaching students in Loudon County and Lenoir City schools as well as children attending preschools and daycare centers. We conduct more than 3,000 vision screenings each year, using our advanced Plusoptix Vision Screening Cameras, helping identify potential vision issues at an early age. Screening results for preschool children are reviewed by specialists at Vanderbilt Eye Center, ensuring families receive expert guidance when follow-up care may be needed.
Beyond vision screenings, we proudly offer free monthly eye examinations, glucose screenings, and blood pressure checks for residents of Loudon and Monroe Counties. For individuals who need eyeglasses but cannot afford them, we provide glasses at no cost, helping them enjoy clearer vision and a better quality of life.
Every dollar raised through this event directly supports these life-changing programs, enabling us to continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of children, families, and seniors throughout our region.
